Gluten Free Eating

While Maryanne can eat small portions of gluten in her regular diet, eating too much can cause her to become sick. Some people suffer from Celiac Disease, which means they can’t eat any gluten at all. Others are merely gluten-intolerant, like Maryanne. There are even those who are cutting gluten from their diets as a way to avoid overly starchy foods so that they can lose weight and feel healthier.

Going entirely gluten free all at once can wreak havoc on your digestion if you don’t replace the fiber that you used to gain from foods that contained gluten. Moderation is always the key, especially when it comes to your diet. It is best to slowly cut back on the gluten if you do not need to stop eating it due to a medical condition.

You may not realize it, but gluten is used in all kinds of food. You’ll find it in soups, breads, gravies, and even your favorite beer. It can be really tough to cut gluten from an American diet without doing some research and spending some extra time reading labels at the grocery store. This site is intended to help collect all of our gluten-free eating discoveries in one convenient location so that you don’t have to go through all the trial and error we have gone through over the past 10 years.

If you have any gluten free eating questions, ask! We may not have the answer right away, but we will enjoy looking it up and passing it along once we find it.
