Tiggerific Tuesday: Where’s Tig 15
So the last one was a bit of a cheat.
It is officially at the Disneyland Resort, but it is the bus stop near Harvard Blvd where we waited to catch an Anaheim bus back to our hotel.
It was a blast to feel even a little bit like a local for those glorious days where I could go to the park for as long as I liked and hop a bus back to the hotel for a rest whenever I wanted.
Now we come to the next installment. I think it may be a bit of a challenge, so I will give a hint – it is outside of an attraction. Can you tell me which one?
Hope you had a Tiggerific Easter!
Thoughtful Thursday – The Ciaran part 14
Wow – I guess people don’t like it when the lasses spat – no one responded at all (= Ah well, I have never been in a group that didn’t have spats – so of course my lasses have to experience a few as well. But it be time to move on, as Kaitlin would say, and see if they can’t make a better go of things.
Hope you like the next part of “The Ciaran.”

The smell of coffee came too soon; her eyes were still dry from the interrupted sleep. Lian nuzzling her shoulder helped rouse her and at last Kiera worked free from her blankets. Once she dressed and brushed her hair, she rubbed down Lian. She would do so again before saddling, but she wanted the mare comfortable before she had that tempting cup of coffee.

This is actually one of my favorite places to feed the ducks. It is over near the Rivers of America in front of Pirates of the Caribbean.
One of my favorite stories of the joy that is Disneyland happened at this spot. I was sitting here, feeding ducks popcorn when I heard two little voices yell, “Duck!” Now the truth is, they probably said “ducks,” but I am well conditioned and hunched my shoulders. The next thing I knew, twin osh-kosh overalls with tow-headed boys were clambering all over me,grabbing large handfuls of popcorn and throwing it with glee toward the River.
Slowly coming up behind were a pair of grandparents, faces quite red. I assured them, I had no trouble being part of the magic duck-feeding rock.
Ah to be that confident of my surroundings!
Anyway, here is the next image. Can you tell me where, in all of the California Disneyland Resort, Tig is today?
See you next week and have fun guessing!
Thoughtful Thursday – more of The Ciaran, part 13
So you can see there is trouble in paradise. I hate to admit that both of my lovely lasses have tempers, and this time around they are flaring at each other. Will Kaitlin and Kiera find ways to work together again? Or will Kiera have to look for another way to find her own niche?
There seems to be only one way to find out – let’s watch some more.
The Ciaran.

When night fell, the group pulled the four wagons into a square just off to the left of the road. Rope and branches between the wagons created a small enclosure for the various animals, and Ryn helped Gregor build a fire. Kiera was currying Lian when Kaitlin found her. “Come on, I be having your space all ready in the wagon, I just be needing your bedroll to lay it out.”
“I don’t think so.” Kiera shook her head and tried to smile. “I thought maybe tonight I would like to lie out under the stars with Lian here.” She never took her eyes off the horse to glance at the younger woman. “I only got to sleep that way a few times, and I have more to learn about this harsh life than a wagon can give me.”
Kaitlin stood and stared. She had not spoken to Kiera since the pair had their falling out before the mid-day meal, but she hadn’t thought the healer was one to carry a hurt so long. “There be plenty of time to be learning about this harsh life, Kiera, with or without a wagon. It seems to be foolish to be turning down any comforts we be having.”
Tiggerific Tuesday -Where’s Tig 13
So, for those of you who thought Excalibur – that is a great idea! I have not taken my little buddy to my favorite Casino in Las Vegas – I may have to figure out how to schedule a trip for us.
Alas, it was only our trip to Disneyland in May 2010 when he bopped as I sang along with It’s a Small World.
So remember the rules of the game – where is Tig at the Disneyland Resort, California. He could be in California Adventure or the original park, at Downtown Disney or at any of the resort hotels.
Where do you think he is this time?

see you next week!
Thoughtful Thursday: The Ciaran part 12
I am so pleased some of you are enjoying our idea of serializing this wip. We actually got the idea from history. Charles Dickens was first a writer of serials. While we realize we are no where near Dickensian, we thought it could be fun to use that old friend in a new media. I also have to thank Brian Meeks at Extremely Average for encouraging me to serialize as well as publish. Do wander by his site for a great read of “Henry Wood Detective Agency” then buy a copy. You won’t be sorry.
Now, on to “The Ciaran.”

Much to Kiera’s relief, Ryn improved steadily the next few days. That meant it was not long before she had no excuse to put off leaving. With a sigh, she packed up her belongings and tied them to the back of her saddle. When Jace happened by and looked at her perplexedly, she nodded. “Ryn can travel. I wouldn’t test him with any heavy lifting for a few more days. He should start with light chores soon though, to build up the back and arm strength.”
Jace nodded and whistled. Apparently, it was the whistle the rest of the camp had been waiting for. People scurried from place to place, the temporary barrier Fin and Niall had built was dismantled, the wagons were hitched up and the fire put out. Kiera watched in amazement as the last of what she had considered her home for the past fortnight disappeared.
Tiggerific Tuesday- Where’s Tig 12
So here he is, as several of you guessed: he is going for the honey!
He really enjoyed wandering around Pooh Corner. He even found some remnants of the Country Bear Jamboree – we’ll have to share those another day.
In the meantime, here is what I hope is an easy guess – since it is spring break I don’t want to over tax relaxing brains.
So, where is Tig today?
Inquiring minds want to know.
See you next week!
Thoughtful Thursday- The Ciaran, part 11.
So as you can see, life is not always easy, even when one is looking for a new start. The next few days are a bit of a blur, but things move along. Now you get to meet one more character who is only mildly important now, but just may show up again say two or three books down the line (=
Now, more of The Ciaran.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next few days both dragged and flew by for Kiera. Jace had been good to his word and refit the farmer’s wagon to be used as her hospital. While she tended Ryn, the time passed so slowly. Willow bark ground up and stirred into the broth she fed him kept the pain at bay while he slept. She supposed it also kept any possible fever from developing; at least she had heard rumors to that effect while speaking with other healers. She didn’t understand how it worked, she was just grateful that it did.
Once Ryn slept and was not trying to move about fitfully, Kiera could step from the wagon and assist in the investigation – and the packing. Jace had not given up his plan to move as soon as Ryn was able. Kaitlin, Fin and a captain of the guard were searching the nearby forest for the site of Ryn’s attack and possibly the weapon used. The rest of the band went about the business of dismantling the camp.
Tiggerific Tuesday- Where’s Tig 11
So here he is, asking me to take him on the Astro Orbiter. Too bad my poor eyes don’t deal wityh spinning that way. I bet he would have liked it.
Instead we wandered around to another section of the park, something more my speed.
Any ideas where he is this time?
I can’t wait to go back this December and get some shots with Tig enjoying Christmas and New Years.
I know – 9 months to go – sounds so…expectant!
See you next week.
Thoughtful Thursday 10
All right, Introductions (almost) over! Time for a little bit of action – not too much, wouldn’t want to leave you hanging for a week while I sort out what piece to post next. But a little, – in case you are feeling sleepy…very sleepy…. Oh, wait. This isn’t the story about hypnosis. Never Mind.
Instead I give you a little more of : The Ciaran.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next few days were full of action as the small band dismantled camp. Fin argued with Jace about the storage buildings. Acting on Kiera’s recommendation, Kaitlin was able to find a buyer, but Fin wanted to take the wood and start again.
“It isn’t reasonable, Fin. The wood is not that precious but it is too large to carry.” Jace tried to reason with the woodcrafter.
